Wth a background in support work, Emma joined us just 12 months ago to be our new Booking Consultant… it wasn’t long before Emma had a camera in her hand and started taking epic shots, ensuring that the OG’s keep their wits about them.

Katie studied photography for more than 10 years in the UK before the sunshine and blue skies of Australia called her here. Upcycling (anything) furniture is a secret talent she has - just one of many.

About Us
Our 5-Acre 5 Outdoor Photo Studio is WA Family Owned and Operated for 3 Generations.
Now creating family portraits for over 45 years- we are dedicated, award winning and passionate about creating the very best photos for every family we meet. We love what we do - so our photography sessions really are created with love!
Our family photo studio is located near Cockburn Central in Banjup, WA. Just 5 mins off the Kwinana Fwy- and only 20 mins from Perth CBD.
Mission Statement
Studies have found children who grow up with their Family Portraits displayed on the wall have a larger sense of belonging.
They know that this is their Tribe - Their Family and they are loved.
It’s a powerful way to tell you children how proud you are of them everyday.
It’s our mission at Premier Studio for all children to grow up with a Family Portrait on their wall at home.
How it all began….
With Jonelle’s Grandmother, Shirley…back then business was called ‘Premier Photos’ and they photographed weddings only!
After Photographing weddings for… let’s just say… a very, very long time; Jonelle’s Mum; Janet Craig had photos of her daughters (Jonelle and her sister, Liliana) on the wall at home and soon the wedding clients started asking Janet to take photos of their families and children in the same candid, photojournalistic style for their walls!
“My style is very candid and free-flowing. I love to capture what is happening naturally - this would be my natural shooting style of choice. I’m passionate about capturing great light in camera and I like to use a combination of natural light, off-camera flash and reflected light for my outdoor portraits. I also love the different look of studio lights and use them to my full advantage to get the best of both worlds for your shoot. What I really love the most though.

Award-Winning Family Photographers for over 20 years
Janet and Jonelle have won many awards for their family portraits over the years. Including Jonelle taking out the National Title of: AIPP Australian Family Photographer of the Year in 2012. (There are too many silver, gold and other state awards to count!)
Jonelle achieved the title of Master Photographer with the AIPP at only 28. Something most professional photographers strive to achieve in their whole career.
Jonelle took over Premier Studio from Janet over 11 years ago - continuing the family legacy of the 3rd generation business we have today!
3 Generations of photography
Premier Studio is now in it’s 3rd Generation of Family Photography.
Jonelle’s Grandmother, Shirley started it all with wedding photos over 40 years ago.
Jonelle’s mother, Janet started photographing her wedding clients’ when they had kids - and so the portrait part of Premier Studio was born.
Now we only photograph family portraits on the 5-acre property in Banjup.
Family photos are Jonelle’s passion. It is something she has developed and curated with the other talented photographers at Premier Studio.
